This piece was an experimentation with a geometric but loose watercolor background and a sharper contour drawing on top of it. The idea was that the watercolor could theoretically stand alone, but that the contour drawing would add more interest. I had a lot of trial and error with this one, and ended up using water and tissue to try to lighten some of the parts I felt were too saturated. I played with a lot of different placements with the contour, but after suggestions from others in the class I decided this one suited it best.
